On the Edge relies on spontaneous processes, pushing the glass to the brink of collapse while shaping the form on the blow pipe. There is no preconceived notion of the finished piece, aside from the colors and the composition of the lines. Fragments from the blown form are then fused and layered through multiple firings, ultimately bringing the work to its final form.
