Steffen Plistermann’s blown and fused glass compositions are enriched by his more than 25 years as a painter and sculptor. Through extensive experimentation, he developed a specialized technique of using powdered colored glasses for his compositions. By carefully layering colors and controlling the heating and cooling process, he achieves unique and distinctive surface finishes.

Unexpected mishaps occasionally occur during the blowing and sculpting process. Rather than discarding these fragments, Plistermann recognizes their potential and transforms them into beautiful fused and slumped works of art.
