Jannine Cabossel
Jannine has spent her entire life in the arts. She grew up in Phoenix, AZ. After graduating from NAU in Flagstaff, she moved to San Diego and worked as a graphic designer/illustrator for Sea World as a corporate artist. From there she went on to become an illustrator on a national level.
Jannine moved to Santa Fe, NM where she met Elodie Holmes and fell in love with glass blowing. Under the tutelage of Holmes, Jannine learned how to adapt her design skills. Her vibrant color palettes are inspired by colors in nature. Her inspiration for her Wabi Sabi vase series and her Keihatsu vases are based on Japanese concepts of wabi sabi philosophy where beauty is found in imperfection and simplicity and comes from the earth.
Jannine is also a Master Gardener, and is known as the Tomato Lady of Santa Fe. She sold organic heirloom tomatoes at the Santa Fe Farmers Market for ten years before retiring from there. Jannine is an avid fly fisher where she loves being in nature and practices catch and release.
Now she puts her years of glass art experience to work making her own glass art and assisting Holmes in the hot shop at Liquid Light Glass.
