Frito Bag is made from a variety of colors of glass which were bonded together by fusing them in a kiln. In addition, the Frito logo letters were cut separately from glass and fired on the background. More lettering was applied by hand with a special paint which was then fired. The back of the bag is one piece which is slumped and attached to the front, creating a realistic bag-like space into which real Fritoes can be inserted for display. This is the first of a ten-piece glass series, four of which are still to be completed.
