The Aquatic Series is one of several series that reflect experiences and impressions from my time living in Hawaii. Aquatic pieces focus on stone, water, and the shoreline, trying to capture the essence of a certain coastal environment.

Hand-blown and fused platter. Steffen Plistermann uses a specialized technique of powdered colored glasses for his compositions. Layering glass colors by heating and cooling them in specific ways, he creates unique and distinctive finishes. He will reshape fragments from blown forms, fusing them into flat sheets, and often combines them with other elements created for this particular piece.

To be displayed flat, or on a stand.
